Biography

Janet Skupien’s teaching interests center on the role of communication in human life and the ethical challenges of the current communication landscape.  Her research focuses on the place of human beings within the information and AI revolutions, including the differences between human understanding and machine understanding.  She is at work on a book, Human Understanding: Knowledge and Self-Knowledge After Wittgenstein.
