The Rosa Project: Overcoming Our Seasons of Woundedness
This book breaks open the silences around ossified taboos regarding sexual abuse, domestic violence, and other life tragedies women face in their efforts to move their lives forward. It challenges women to recognize the early signs of woundedness, upends fixations on illness as a form of woundedness, helps women grapple with grief and loss woundedness, and engages women in courageous conversations on domestic abuse fatalities and the need to stop domestic violence woundedness. The book provides four personal vignettes about personal and traumatic moments from my life that speak to my valiant efforts, with the help of my mother and other women, to overcome sexual abuse, domestic violence, and other debilitating life crises. The Rosa Project challenges women to pick up the pieces of their lives and do all they can to reach their fullest potential.
